My name’s Jana Harperová and I’ve been teaching Czech since 1998.

I admire anyone who tries to learn Czech - it’s a very difficult language and I’m glad I was born Czech and I don’t have to learn it as a second language. Learning Czech is hard work, isn't it?

That's why I always try to make learning Czech as easy as possible for my students - I put myself in their shoes and try to teach them in a way I would also enjoy.
I always try to teach the most important and useful words, phrases and grammar that people actually use in daily life, which helps my students communicate with confidence in Czech.

In the autumn of 2010 I created Český blog pro cizince where you can find more than 300 articles written in simple Czech to help you learn and understand Czech better.
In the summer of 2012 my book Čeština extra – Your guide to Czech grammar was published. I carefully chose the basic and most important grammar for this guide and made lots of useful and practical exercises to practise it.
